Web Developer: Join Our Team!
Are you a web demon, a master of server-side languages and experienced in creating highly scalable extensible websites? We're looking for a web developer to join our small team.
We're looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and skilled developer that prides themselves in knowing everything there is to know about new tools and cutting edge web technologies. You'll be experimenting with the implementation of beautiful user experiences for front-end development, getting involved with databases and webcrawlers for the back-end, and building an efficient, high-traffic website.
You'll be part of a small, dynamic team responsible for bringing an exciting new search technology to market. It's a great opportunity to become part of an award-winning start-up right at the very beginning, leading to rapid career progression and new experiences. We want to reward developers who join us at this stage, so we're looking for someone who loves the product, wants to get stuck in, is willing to work extra hours when a deadline is looming and will enjoy working in a creative, innovative environment.
Essential skills:
All the usual stuff for an internet start-up including PHP, HTML4/5, CSS2.1/3, MySQL, Javascript and jQuery, SOAP, web services, cloud technologies including AWS, Rightscale, version control (git), able to accurately recreate web designs, attention to detail and robust thinking.
Big Pluses:
An eye for design, experience in coding efficiently for high-traffic websites, knowledge of frameworks such as Django and scalable NoSQL datastores, Wordpress... and lots of ideas!
We offer flexible working conditions, with our office being based in London but lots of scope for remote working and unusual hours!
